Harvey Dent aka Two Face

In the Christopher Nolan Batman franchise I see Ian McShane who plays Al Sweargen in Deadwood in the Role of Harvey Dent..aka: Two Face. After creating this image I checked IMDB...Aaron Eckhart is Harvey Dent, so waiting to see how that plays out. In the Franchise Burton started Billy D. Williams was Harvey Dent...Then Tommy Lee Jones took the role as Two-Face. At any rate..here's my Nolan/Batman Two-face.

The Joker

OK...so a lot of great movies coming out this summer: Iron Man, the Dark Knight, The Hulk and Indiana Jones the the Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Did I miss any?
This is a sketch based off of Ledger as the Joker. I might take a stab at sketching a few of the characters from the rouges gallery in this new franchise style...which is my favorite depiction of Batman thus far.

The Incredible Hulk

Watched the trailer for the Incredible Hulk. Visually it looks great, hope the story is good. Ed Norton is a great choice to play Bruce Banner.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Watched The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford last night. Amazing. Visual it was extremely stunning. The top image is one of the coolest scenes I've ever seen...Jesse James at night about to rob the train. The lighting and staging and pacing was extremely well designed...to me the entire movie was like an Andrew Wyeth painting come to life with a touch of Frank Miller. Top is a shot from the movie followed by a couple of Wyeth examples..bottom image Frank Miller's the Dark Knight. Also a quick sketch of Frank James.

The Outlaw Josey Wales

Still formulating and working out a Westrn Graphic novel. Watching a lot of Westerns. This is from a Great one: The Outlaw Josey Wales. They really don't make movies like this anymore. Although--3:10 to Yuma was Excellent. What makes westerns so great...and I hope they start to come back is they are Character Driven for the most part, and this is what makes a novel, movie book...whatever...interesting. Most movies nowadays that contain action..are all action and focus little on the character... so you can have all the plot twists and special effects...but if the audience doesn't give a rip about the main characters it all falls apart..That being said...The Outlaw Josey Wales is a great example of a Character Driven Action movie.

Skiff Gaurds

Here are some designs of how the Skiff Gaurds, Bib Fortuna and Boba are coming along. At this point making sure that all the colors will work together. At this point I plan to create a lot of the BG's in Photoshop as for a more painterly look that should pop the characters out.

The Outlaw

Speed West

Ronnie by Metallica, Great lyrics

Now we all know why children called him
Ronnie Frown
When he pulled that gun from his pocket
They'd all fall down

He said "lost my way"
This bloody day
Lost my way
I heard him, he said "lost my way"
This bloody day
Lost my way
All things wash away
But blood stained the sun red today

Key Scene SW 2008

Here is a look at one of the key scenes for Star Wars cartoon #5 for Atom Films. There is a really talented crew of people helping out with this one, so I am thrilled about that. Scott Beehner wrote the script for this one. I think it is as funny if not more humorous than Bounty Hunter. Also the sound design will be improved and some great 3D shots are being created for this one by the talented Ron Ruff...who did the opening shot of Bounty Hunter.
I will be posting more images as the are created.
This is somewhat of a sequel to Bounty Hunter: The Interview, Fett is a main character again.
